Half And Dozen Houses Gutted In Massive Fire At Srinagar | KNO

Srinagar (KNO) As many as 6 Houses were gutted in massive fire which broke out in densely populated Sheikh Colony locality of Dewar Hawal area of downtown Srinagar at around 3:30 Pm on Monday.

Fire tenders from different parts of the city and adjoin area were rushed to douse off the massive fire and leaping flames which are clearly visible from a distance Official told KNO that fire broke out this evening in a residential houses of Abdul Rashid Sheikh, Mohd Ramzan Sheikh,Mohd Shafi Sheikh,Manzoor Ahmad,Gh Nabi sheikh and Raja ahmad. However, the fire spread to nearby residential houses.

Before the fire was brought under control, as many as 6 residential houses were damaged in the fire, they said. One of the fire victim told KNO that assessment of loss is in Lakhs while one of the lady told that I was going to marry soon my whole jewellery gutted in fire we have six sisters recently our father had sudden death and leaved us alone we don’t have any source of income how can now we survive.

One of the fire tender man got minor injury However, no loss of life was reported in the incident, police said. The cause of the fire was not immediately known, they said, adding no one was injured in the incident.
